One of the most enjoyable ways to bond with your kids is to go on a family camping trip. But sometimes, kids get bored that they start whining about wanting to go home.  This situation would really spoil the fun for everyone, especially if the kids start sulking. Below are some tips on how to deal with kids when they are whining about going home.

Be gentle and firm at the same time.

It is important that you try to tell your kids in a gentle and sweet way that you could not go home just yet.  Though you are gentle, you have to show that you are firm in your decision.

Know what camping activities your kids like.

Kids usually whine about going home if they feel bored with the activities that they are doing.  This is why you have to plan for activities which you think would spark their interests.  You should also observe them if they really enjoy the activities that they are joining.  By doing this, you will surely learn a lot about your kids and their likes.

Ask them what they want.

Sometimes, children just want to grab your attention.  And if they have not succeeded, they usually resort to whining about wanting to go home.  So before you say or do anything, ask them if what it is that they really want or why they whine.

Have fun with them.

There can be no enjoyable camping experience for kids than to see their parents enjoying the whole experience with them.  Opt for camping activities that are not too difficult for younger children.

Make sure that your kids are well-protected from insect bites.

Children whine for a reason.  If they are not hungry or thirsty, then they must have been bitten by insects.  Insect bites can really bring them discomfort.  This is why you have to put mosquito and bug-repellent lotion on your kids to protect them.

Keeping the children comfortable and satisfied while on a camping trip would leave them no reason to whine about going home even before the day is gone.  So for your next vacation, keep these tips in mind and you will surely have a great and memorable outing experience with your kids.

Going on camping with kids is fun. But kids sometime will ask you right away of going home. Kids are like that. They have the attitude of sudden mindset of going home. Well, i think, the best thing that you need to do is to provide some sort of stuffs to be able for kids not to whine going back home. Kids are easily attracted with anything they see and watch, better shift there thinking from going home to making it fun. Since camping is one of the things that they love doing, just provide them with some funny things to do,think of a good games to play and get your camera and take many photo shots as many as you can and let them see those photo shots you did…they will be very active enough to look at those pictures and forget everything about going home.By the way, dont forget to bring some OFF lotion for protection to be able to avoid itchiness & redness of the skin.Give much attention to them to forget everything about going home when its not yet time..enjoy camping with your kids, its great for bonding moments with them….;))
