Roaches are truly disgusting. It’s so true that they multiply quickly and hence, immediate action must be done at the earliest sign of their lease in your household. I even read somewhere before that it is attributed as a common cause for child asthma; if I remember right it’s the roach dust that causes the difficulty in breathing. Keeping a home spotless is of course not that easy if people in your household are on constant move; more so if you have a young child who’d be the cause of food particles and crumbs lurking corners and your floor. So true, the best way is to keep one’s place clean as possible and dry. Also, I came across a green solution for roaches, boric acid. Its natural crystals stick to the roach’s legs and, when the bug is cleaning itself, it ingests them and is poisoned and dies within 48 hours. Nice right. We can bid them bye-bye. Although caution should be remembered if one chooses to use boric acid, it’s toxic.

Cockroaches are one of, if not the most menacing household pests. They can invade any part of our home without us even knowing it. They are also the ones that are hardest to eliminate. They have been roaming around the planet for millions of years, yet they managed to survive the asteroid impact that caused the dinosaurs to go extinct. They can literally survive any catastrophic event they would encounter whether it is exposure to extreme radiation or nuclear blast. It can even survive for a couple of days without its head and the only reason it would die is due to starvation! It is said that a sighting of a single cockroach in your house is equivalent to having a thousand more hiding in the corners and other crevices. They have the ability to multiply quickly and continuously. These factors make cockroaches one of the most resilient species of all time. They are the source of major illnesses; they spoil whatever food they come in contact with, and let’s just admit the fact that these tiny things just plain creep us out and can make even the most masculine men scream like a five year old girl. It is essential that we don’t let these critters take over our home, and the solution is very simple, keep the house clean and well ventilated. Avoid having leftovers out and always have a receptacle that is emptied regularly. Aerosols and other kinds of insecticides can also be used especially in dark, moist areas of the house where they usually thrive. In case of severe and out of control infestations, perhaps the best solution would be to hire an exterminator.
